STOP, ATTEND, SENSE, THINK TO DO, THINK TO REMEMBER and DO.

The Early Childhood Intensive Program supports the main elements of the PRPP (Perceive, recall, plan and perform) Model, they are:

  • attention and focus (stop, attend)
  • sensing environmental cues and prompts (sense):Recall steps, Recall procedures Contextualises to time, place and duration

 

  • uses cognitive strategies to develop information processing skills
  • We are developing thinking strategies (think)
  • knowing what has to happen (clear goal)

 

  • blocking out distracting environmental information
  • knowing how to get ready
  • knowing how to plan and sequence
  • knowing how to self-evaluate and make change
